In the year 2018, Trillium Energy Solutions opened a new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station in Miami, Florida. The station opened with the partnership between Trillium and the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works. The aims of this project were to identify ways to shrink the carbon footprint of the DTPW and reduce operating costs.

3FM Consulting was contracted to provide fire protection engineering and design services. This highly complex project required careful coordination with the Authorities Having Jurisdiction, builders, and design team. Being the first of its kind in Miami Dade County, the project demanded an out of the box thinking and approach. The 3FM team was able to develop a creative design to meet the stringent requirements of the Miami Dade Fire Rescue department.
