Hyatt Place Delray

This 100+ room hotel is located in Delray Beach minutes from the Old School Square Cultural Arts Center and within 1-mile of the beach. In the year 2019, the hotel experienced rapid deterioration of their existing HVAC systems which resulted in high energy consumption and failure of mechanical units.

Our team was retained as engineering consultants to provide a complete retrofit of the existing HVAC systems. After careful field reviews and computer simulations, it was determined that a combination of design and field issues had caused the observed problems. Performing a thorough computer simulation of the existing rooms, the team was able to identify all the existing problems and propose practical solutions to resolve the performance issues. Our team issued strong mechanical, electrical and low voltage specifications to ensure that the new system could endure the test of time. The design also required close coordination with Samsung, the Variable Refrigerant Flow supplier, to ensure careful coordination and commissioning of the HVAC and controls systems.
