Miami Beach Court House

Originally serving as the Miami Beach City Hall until 1976, the Miami Beach Courthouse is located in South Beach Miami, FL.  This building is approximately 40,000 sq ft and was constructed in 1927.

In 2020, the 3FM group was retained to assist with upgrading the existing mechanical systems. The building’s Variable Air Volume (VAV) system required urgent upgrades due to its age and condition. The scope of work included design and engineering for electrical power distribution, harmonic analysis, mechanical ductwork distribution, proper sizing of diffusers & grilles, equipment load and energy calculations, among others. This project was specifically challenging due to tight existing conditions, requiring careful field verification and close coordination with the construction team.
