Miami College of Design prepares future leaders in innovation by merging design with science, engineering, and technology. In 2020, 3FM Consulting performed detailed photometric field verification services at the Miami College of Design to ensure compliance with safety and egress lighting standards. Using NIST-calibrated equipment, our team conducted a nighttime inspection to accurately measure foot candle levels in egress hallways, exit stairs, and emergency lighting zones. This targeted analysis helps validate illumination levels for safe occupant movement, confirming that both normal and emergency lighting systems meet code requirements.
